Participating in Worship

At St. Paul’s, there are many ways in which lay people (non-clergy) can actively participate in the worship service such as:

• Reader: reading the Scripture appointed for the day.
• Intercessor: Praying the Prayers of the People.
• Voice: singing in the choir.
• Music: utilising your musical talents by playing different kinds of instruments, or singing.
• Chalice Bearers: serving the communion cup.
• Liturgical Party: serving as crucifers or acolytes leading the procession and choir.
• Hospitality: serving as greeters.
